@RepThomasMassie The solution is not longer mortgages The banks should be limited in how high the interest rate is. It should be capped to no more than 1 or 2% higher than they currently pay their savers. After all they are using the savers money to lend And they can foreclose on bad loans

The solution to the cost of housing is not 50yr mortgages. It is the interest rate. A bank should not be able make more than 1% more than they currently paying it's savers. If they are paying 2% to savers, then lend that money out, it should be capped at 3% to borrowers

So all the federal workers are going to get backpay for the last 40 days even if they didn't work .. that's like almost a 6 week paid vacation. They should not get paid, like when union members strike. Either that or use their accrued time off.

Explain to me why Cuomo and its supporters expected Republicans to vote for him when he was basically Mamdani on the issues. Cuomo did nothing to gain Republican supports and brought the mess in NYC with his policies and bowing down to the Democrat Socialists in NY as Gov.

@EllieCohanim If you have been paying attention to NYC politics, the Democrat primary voters have for the most part picked the most Left candidates. That is what the Democrat voters want now - socialism. If you are a moderate, you need to move to the Republican party or create a new one.

I’m hearing a lot of nail biting what Mamdani win means. Let’s be clear: if Curtis Sliwa had dropped out of the race today we would have had a Mayor Cuomo. It’s not just the Sliwa voters who would have gone to Cuomo—it’s also the demotivating effect on voters who for months kept hearing that Mamdani was definitely winning. When voters hear that Mamdani has a 95% chance of winning, they lose motivation to get out & vote. All of this is due to Sliwa.

I just voted for Andrew Cuomo. I've never been less excited to vote for someone. I don't like him, and I wish we had better options, but we don't. We can't let the most important city in America fall into the hands of a radical progressive Islamist communist.

It is clear that the majority of the Democrat voters are socialists, plain and simple. The moderate Democrats need to form a new party or just come to the Republican party now.

If Mamdani wins, the only people to blame are the Democrats and their voters.
