The United Nations opposes the death penalty under all circumstances. The implementation of this new law would violate international law's prohibition of cruel, inhuman or degrading punishment. Additionally, this law further entrenches Israel’s violation of the prohibition of racial segregation and apartheid as it will exclusively apply to Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Israel, who are often convicted after unfair trials. Israel acaba de asesinar a dos periodistas y un fotógrafo en el sur de Líbano, ya van una docena. Están repitiendo el genocidio de Gaza paso a paso y silenciando a los periodistas para que el mundo no sepa.
Como siempre, la ciudadanía es la golpeada: atrapada entre un gobierno incapaz, más interesado en el negocio, y empresarios que durante décadas fueron cómplices de la rosca mafiosa con la que se repartieron enormes ganancias y privilegios. Cuando el Poder Ejecutivo vino con su ley de reforma del transporte público, advertimos que era una ley enfocada solo en el modelo de negocios, y que muchas mejoras urgentes y necesarias no requerían ese remedo de reforma, sino decisión política y recursos. Con su mayoría, avanzaron como aplanadora y así nos va. Este y los anteriores gobiernos colorados, endeudaron al país para sostener sus negocios, sin una inversión real que fortalezca la capacidad productiva y mejore el bienestar de la gente. Mientras presentan sus cifras macroeconómicas casi en tono de burla, hay gente que pasa 4 horas en la parada del micro para poder ir a trabajar, y muchas familias cuentan monedas para llegar al súper. Voto castigo para los que siempre prometen lo mismo y lo único que hacen es llenarse los bolsillos.
