Happy to announce the publication of my first original article on 3D bioprinting of foams🫧🧪🧫
My grateful thanks to all who have supported and collaborated to this research!

@FedericoSerpe @ISBioFab Thanks for your answer @FedericoSerpe. as an additional question, in what way are you then crosslinking your materials to ensure that they are not washed away over time?

Excited to share our work on microfluidic 3D printing of foams in the #Biofab2023 online poster conference powered by @ISBioFab.🔬🧬🥼
Have a look to our poster! 👇

@LindbergLabs @ISBioFab Hey @LindbergLabs thanks for your question! Yes, temperature is a parameter affecting the foam generation since it changes the rheology of the material. During the experiment a constant temperature is kept to ensure repeatability.
English

@FedericoSerpe @ISBioFab Exciting work combining microfluidics and extrusion printing to generate foamed fibers @FedericoSerpe. Is printing temperature an important parameter during the foam generation process?

@mfalandt @ISBioFab Hi @mfalandt, thanks for your comment! The material I am using at the moment is a simple blend of alginate and gelatin and, to make the foam stable, also a surfactant is added.
The next step (actually, ongoing) would be to include cells in the study and observe their response.

@FedericoSerpe @ISBioFab Hello @FedericoSerpe, nice poster and very cool work on creating porosity in printed structures by using air. What kind of biomaterial are you using for this technique, and what would be the next steps for this research?
