@FedorChernil @Delby___ There are about 4 or 5 fan translations of Deltarune into Russian, so people and translators constantly argue with each other about whose translation is more accurate, resulting in a new team being made with each new chapter with their own translation of the entire game.

a poor translation can have ripple effects that genuinely NUKE a piece of media's reception and can have the story's point get lost entirely for example TO THIS DAY people still make McDonald's jokes about Deku because of one fucking manga mistranslation YEARS AGO

all the talk of undertale/deltarune and translations reminded me that the undertale demo had an official korean translation made a year after the original demo came out for some reason

why are people calling toby racist for not translating the game to spanish and portuguese? not only is that really fucking stupid but also acts like theres only 4 languages in the whole world. he makes official japanese translations because he can speak japanese.
