@FedorFut It definitely had an impact, no doubt. I think that people should be free to speak whatever language they want in their daily lives, it doesn't define a person.
However, I do want to see Ukrainian being utilised more after years of russification also, to not end up like Belarus

@Bo_UA_ Well we can agree to disagree. In your pre-war point as you say yourself they wouldn’t use it, so clearly the war had an impact on language and now there is a push to “Ukranise” media, and it shouldn’t have because language shouldn’t matter in a genuine democracy.

@Bo_UA_ well exactly, everyone understand what they’re saying without the voiceover, so why on earth bother doing a voice over unless you specifically want everything to be in Ukrainian, which is weird considering how widely spoken the language is… nothing to do with formality imo

@FedorFut That would be a big reason why, presenting in another language makes it seem informal. Obviously you can make the argument that a voiceover isn't required in this instance and I get this argument. Nobody is hiding that they are speaking russian tho, it's common knowledge.

@FedorFut There's only one official language, they are just aligning with that. Sure, they could've left it without an overlay, but that wouldn't be viewed as professional for a media outlet. If it was a documentary, it almost never gets overlaid. Just different standards.
