This group saved me in high school, and was always too intelligent and thoughtful and ambitious for pedestrian tv audiences. They spoke to me, they were too good, and I hope to catch them live someday.

Too depressing that we can't go one week now without seeing layoffs in media/entire publications shutting down. It's felt grim for years but I don't know why lately it feels like Hell.

I want to say this. Pay for your news. Support public radio. Subscribe to the NYT and others. Journalism matters. It’s been bartered and discredited by those who stand to benefit. But everyone has the power to change that.

Bands need to realize that they aren’t gonna get “discovered” at SXSW. The only bands who get a ton of attention are the ones that already have a buzz or a huge. Super waste of time and money.

@Slow_News_Day Totally. They’ve always been comfortable with letting their work speak for itself, and they’re demonstrably among the best to do it. There’s something gracefully about a group that never quite got it’s due, but just consistently went about making great records regardless
