I'd recommend hitting @Feelingclldlive and listening to the bootleg of this one. Absolutely stunning - when they really thought it was the last time - a near-unbeatable version of rare unicorn Lipgloss (with Hawley) and an absolutely excoriating Common People, among other treats

10th July 1985 38 years since Jarvis entered the tunnel and Pulp signed their first contract with Fire records leading to some great releases in the 1980s and early 1990s

@cam_sh I think that The Trees is a nice song but hardly the hit single they needed at the time. Sunrise should have come out 6 months earlier because everyone wanted a piece of it. The momentum had waned by the time it was eventually released

Nah, I'd argue The Trees is one of the most commercial sounding songs on We Love Life, it's hardly Wickerman is it?
