Deploying serving British men and women into an incredibly dangerous situation is a serious decision, the most serious perhaps. MPs posting childish insults from their cosy offices need to consider the gravity of the situation. I don't suppose they'll be on the ground - in the mud, in the cold, in the potential firing line. Two questions. Should we do this? And perhaps more importantly, can we do this? The military has been decimated. Is it in any position to be stationed on the other side of the continent, for a considerable length of time? We need to think very carefully about this, because we haven't in recent past and look what that got us. Hundreds of dead British men and women. MPs throwing their weight around online need to cool off, and realise this isn't a video game. There are very real life consequences to what is being suggested, and they all need to be very carefully considered.
