🌿 Kindaimana Day – 21 Years Strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school cultural celebration. Started with Smoking Ceremony and spent the day learning Dharug language, weaving, art and dance. A beautiful day honouring culture, community and connection. 🖤💛❤️💙🤍

A lovely afternoon at the MSAW Principal Network Awards. Felt like a proud Mum watching the recipients of the Glenfield Principal Network. A huge congratulations to you all! Bonus for me I ran into my year 11/12 music teacher who was also receiving an award!

Last week, three of our incredible students took to the stage at the Australian Theatre for Young People's annual Intersection Festival. A huge congratulations to M'Kynli, Halayna, and Abby for being selected to perform at this amazing event. This wonderful opportunity allowed them to collaborate with professional artists, refine their performance skills, and proudly represent our school community. Yesterday, I had the absolute honour of delivering the keynote presentation and workshops on Ngunnawal Country at the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Annual Symposium. With the powerful theme “The past informs the present and guides the future,” the event brought together over 160 passionate educators from public schools across the ACT to learn, reflect, and strengthen the important reconciliation work already being done in our schools. A heartfelt thank you to Brother Joel for the moving Welcome to Country and the deadly cultural dance performances, to the organisers for their tireless efforts, and to all the presenters and facilitators who made the day so impactful. To celebrate NAIDOC Week, KL read different Dreamtime stories everyday last week. They explored the importance of sharing stories. On the last day, KL read The Rainbow Snake and created an artwork to go along with the book.
