@hudumaManda Buying land in your village is really hectic,if they are willing to sell they will over charge it,but sometimes the best way is to use a proxy to buy land.

I live in a community where they don't acknowledge legal justice. If you kill someone you get killed, if you steal, your family pays or they sell your belongings. We haven't had any murder case in over 20 years and the last person who murdered someone was a mad man

Senegal is becoming a perfect case study of what happens when revolutionary politics finally meets the realities of governing. It’s easy to unite people against a system. It’s much harder to run the economy, negotiate debt, satisfy voters and still maintain the purity of the movement. A lot of liberation-style movements in Africa struggle once they transition from opposition to government because charisma and slogans eventually collide with budgets, IMF pressure and state institutions. That’s exactly what we’re watching in Senegal right now.

I have a niece who was studying in Mt Kenya university, I used to send her 500ksh every Friday while she was in school . When she finished school before she could get a job it made sense that she needed some pocket money so I continued . She must have been looking for love harder than a job because news reached me that she had gotten married the traditional way . When I didn't send her money the following Friday she called me asking if I had forgotten 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Maajabu.

2006 I was in class 4🤭
Eric@amerix

In 2006, I was a lecturer at the Kenya Medical Training College in Nakuru. I was lecturing in the department of Clinical Medicine & Surgery, I taught Pharmacology and Parasitology (1st Years) and Pathology (2nd Years), I was also supervising 3rd Years, Internal Medicine rotation in PGH Nyayo Ward lectured by Dr Babu Bora(RIP), and mentoring interns in the wards. Dr Murwa Muteshi was my immediate mentor. My exams were probing critical thinking, and I didn't entertain reckless ward lessons. For example, I would set a True/False question: " Among the following, which one causes inflammation?" • Tight-fitting pants • Hot water • Indomethacin • None of the above They would all struggle to answer this kind of question. I demanded orderly history taking, properly documented physical examination and a sensible, structured clinical discussion during ward rotations. I was an avid reader of Dr Sir William Osler, and would recite one of his quotes to my students, "Medicine is learned by the bedside and not in the classroom. Let not your concepts of the manifestations of disease come from words heard in the lecture room or read from the book." The HOD warned me that I am stressing these students by not setting straightforward questions from the curriculum and demanding clean ward presentations. I would tell him that students of medicine must be critical thinkers otherwise they would mismanage patients including your grandmother back in the village. The HOD looked at me, called Afya House to talk to Dr Kimani who was the DMS. That is how I was transferred from Nakuru to become a founding teacher of Kenya Medical Training College, Webuye. That was 20 years ago!

My uncle bought land in early 90s from a single mother who was struggling to pay fees for the children she had. The land was at a prime location near a market my uncle got everything done got the tittle deed and everything. He constructed shops together with rental buildings earlier those years in 2000s. So early this year the kids are all grown have moved to court and are demanding a refund stating that my uncle capitalised on their mother's situation and told the court their mother regrets the decision she ever made. Is their any provision of such? Kama wazazi waliuza shamba unaeza enda kuclaim kupiga refund if it was done ukiwa mdogo.
