Let me ask you: when someone says you are dead, when you are not death, would the punishment be prison, or to simply counter it that you are not dead? When half of the country pronounced Buhari dead while he was still alive, how many people went to jail?
I will actually like Tinubu to start jailing some of you for the all mouth you run here 24/7. I believe that’s when you will realize how ridiculous this is, because I understand it takes an event of personal tragedy for you people to understand some of these things.

Tired of explaining that wishing death on someone is not a crime that should land anybody in prison.
It is funny that this is happening in a country where people claim their elected leaders are not doing their job of securing the lives of citizens. Which goes beyond wishing you death, they are actively trying to kill you by abandoning their primary duty as elected officials, yet they are not in prison.
This is what I mean when I say that Nigerian don’t know what they want, and are always actively working against their own interests. The people who are loudest in defense of this are the very same people most likely to be victims of this kind of oppression.
Wishing someone death is, at worst, a mean thing to say, it is not a crime. A society that claims to be against oppression but celebrates when someone is sent to prison for just being mean is not a serious society.
Again, this is the result of your collective superstitious mentality. Wishing someone death doesn’t mean they would die. That’s not how it works. People don’t die because you say they would die. If it worked that way, your president will not be alive today. I’m highly disappointed in people who claim to be educated but are participating in this backward thinking.

sorry but i am not in support of this. y'all are celebrating and i understand but this is setting a dangerous precedent which we are already seeing from brands and politicians. you write a review and the brand doesn't like it, they'll have you arrested and charged with defamation and cyber bullying. you demand accountability from a politician online and they'll do the same thing. this should at best be a civil matter, not a criminal matter. again, this is a slippery slope and we should all be careful
