Understand the concept but this is a little misleading. Firstly, i have no doubt Premier League is more intense, and Rice over the course of the season would play more minutes, because of 2 cup competitions etc. but not as much as you expect. This season João Neves has had 5 injuries (which aren't mentioned). Give those 5 injuries to Rice and his minutes would reduce significantly. Let's look at last season, João Neves played a total of 3.761' then went onto play in the CWC adding an extra 515' equalling 4,276'. CWC meaning he didn't really have much time off during the summer. Exactly this stage last season João Neves had played 3.479' (More than Rice at this stage this season and he went onto life the UCL).

Joao Neves would need to play nearly 22 consecutive 90's to reach Rice's time on the pitch in the Premier League this season. Rice has covered 350.3km of total distance and has accelerated almost 900 more times than Neves over the course of the domestic season.

@sammyramsey14 @WaruiJohn2 PSG played 16 times against Premier League Clubs (only the best ones apparently) between this season and the last and had mostly a positive record, PSG is already in a kind of Super league of the PL and trashed all of them 🤣stop finding excuses we had no summer prep like you did

People moaning about PSG key players playing less games this season are funny, do you know PSG played almost 70+ games last season and played also at the Club World Cup?.... Mascular injuries were a must but because of a baseless agenda, you want us to believe they have been having an advantage over the others

@FootballEra_ It's not true you, it's management due to numbers of injuries this season. Enrique is not a rotator coach he almost played the same team last szn and Fabián Ruiz which had 61 games for PSG in all comp got injured because of lack of preparation like Neves, Dembele, Mendes..

@TheDevilsDNA @TheFreeManShow_ @RBairner @fbref I get it but you first tweet is fallacious you were mentioning 5 psg players that were all injured because of last szn. I can also name injured players in PL squads that dont start games. The way you make yr point is bizarre and not very thorough, for a so called analyst, sorry.

@Felixwindow @TheFreeManShow_ @RBairner @fbref I've already said credit should go to the manager and squad builders for turning around that narrative and utilising the pros of the situation they have. Credit where its due. The point here is other T4 teams cannot do this 1:1 because of league difficulty compared to Ligue 1.

Full credit to Enrique & PSG & I love how they play but note: No. of starts: Dembele: UCL 9, League 9 Mendes: UCL 15, League 13 Marquinhos: UCL 13, League 9 Hakimi: UCL 12, League 15 Neves: UCL 11, League 12 A massive luxury to have when you have such a squad in such a league.

@TheDevilsDNA @TheFreeManShow_ @RBairner @fbref So your initial tweet is not right sorry, your narrative is to find excuses to english clubs when they should find squad depth. I remember past years when PSG did not win the UCL people said that the poor level of Ligue 1 was the problem now they winning thanks to it.

@TheDevilsDNA @TheFreeManShow_ @RBairner @fbref Yes I know that L1 is easier than Premier League thank you..but keep in mind that PSG last two seasons faced 16 times English Clubs (the best ones) and have a positive record. PSG had no pre-season prep at all because of the crazy numbers of games last szn Arteta had one

@TheFreeManShow_ @Felixwindow @RBairner @fbref That's the point. It's not easy. They might not win the league even after having a good squad and playing lot of key starters. PSG can afford to. This issue is the same for everyone in the top leagues. PSG enjoy insane wealth gap to rotate heavily against Ligue 1 teams. Not same.

@TheDevilsDNA @RBairner @TheFreeManShow_ @fbref If you done real research you'd see that players like Vitinha or Pacho played 67 games last season in all competitions which is more than any English players.. Of course they needed rest because the whole team is injury prone since the start of season..

Bayern & Germany
Bayern & Germany@iMiaSanMia·
Mikel Arteta asked if Premier League teams were capable of producing such an exciting game as PSG vs Bayern: "Well, there is something that when I look at that game, Bayern v PSG is probably the best game I have ever witnessed on the quality of two teams, and especially the individual quality that the players deliver. I’ve never seen something like this. But when I look at the amount of minutes and the freshness of those players, then I’m not surprised. To deliver those moments of quality, you have to be very fresh and the difference in the leagues and the way they’re competing is night and day.  “And you just have to see a lot of stats that have been recently around it. So we are competing in two different worlds, so you cannot compare one part of that without giving any context to the other. I don’t think it’s fair."
