I think I need some MU-specific, 1-on-1 help with Sagat. MU feels like survival horror. If I play patient, he deletes drive. He shits plus frames. He controls the screen at every range. I don’t know how to enforce any meaningful pressure when he can so easily regain control.

@FemShepFGC I ran into squall earlier and it honestly feels even for now. They can both win the ground fight and can both just kinda run each other over.

I’ve fought 27 ranked matches against Alex so far and won over 80% of them. Most were 1700+ MR Alex. I actually don’t hate this MU as Marisa. Maybe people just haven’t figured it out yet? I know it’s early, but I’m feeling strong.

Yes, stance low profiles Gladius, but if he’s in stance, he’s not blocking and vulnerable to 6MP/2MP. Most of his good pokes lose to Gladius. TCs lose to armor interrupt. 2HP is actually very good against stomp. No OD DP reversal to worry about.

Up 60+ and calling it for tonight at 1765MR. Something around a 10-7 WR, beating VERY strong players that I have no business slugging it out with, then tilting against players I feel like I should’ve beaten. Extremely encouraged and feel like I’m finding my footing again.

Three people in the last 24 hours have told me unprompted that I’m the main reason they kept playing and have improved on Marisa. So maybe I should think about that more and my embarrassing, tilted ranked losses less.

Sincere question: I am still confused by Alex’s air approach given that we are only days in. It feels very difficult to react to. Should I have already jumped on a read? Should I be parrying? Reaction air to air? How do I interrupt the maelstrom?

@CAECALI_ Phalanx changes were only to its advantage on block and proximity to opponent when blocked, not total frames, so the recovery is the same as it ever was! You got so lucky he didn’t land on top of you and then made it look planned lol. Nasty.
