Valve veteran Chet Faliszek calls out Tim Sweeney and Epic's 1,000 layoffs while making "as much money as possible
"I worked my ass off at Valve, and I could retire today. I made more money than I'll ever make."
"You just make one game... how do you have any agency? How do you have any ownership when you're just gonna get laid off like this?"
"Hey Tim, Gabe's better at that than you."

@Pirat_Nation Finally, slapping it is a actual use for a apple device i can get behind.

@ChibiReviews It is wild, i dropped a reply under a different post pointing people to pc and steam sales. But people are defending the 900$ console like its their lifeline.

@PervySageGamimg @CipYana2556 @Pirat_Nation Yup, mods and RP are what have kept GTA 5 alive this long 100%

@CipYana2556 @Fen0505 @Pirat_Nation Why you putting wolverine in the same conversation as GTA 6. No one cares about it except ponies. Also the best version of GTA will be on PC

@Pirat_Nation Funny enough when i saw fox would appear in the super mario galaxy movie, my first thought was i would love to see a new game with him. Love to hear it.

According NateTheHate, Nintendo is developing a new classic-style Star Fox game for the Switch 2.
It is planned for release in summer 2026 and returns to the series' arcade roots with on-rails shooting.
A major remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also in the works for the Switch 2, targeting a late 2026 release during the holiday season.
No new 3D Mario game is expected until 2027.

Hasan addresses why most of his research is twitter tabs
“Do u get all ur news from Twitter or do u do actual research?” - chatter
"This is a Times of Israel journalist breaking a story..do u understand there is a difference between random between looking at random accounts on twitter talking sh*t & imagining reality that did not happen & AI videos & n*zi statements..what kind of research could I do..would it better if I went directly to Times of Israel website, try to bypass paywall, which I do with regular frequency"
"This is a direct official communicate coming from the Iranian gov..here's a journalist I work with time to time..my friend Ken Klipperstein breaking a story..this is Clash Report breaking a report..this is a Al Jazeera link..again a breaking story from CNN's Natasha Bertrand"
"This response is idiotic..very common thing ppl say, my haters say..important to address it"

@808sMatt @UchihaDareNial @Pirat_Nation I think the rtx 5060 is a bad pick and would at least go for the ti version with 16gb memory but otherwise i agree yes. Building it yourself also makes it even cheaper and irs like putting together legos that cant go in the wrong spot.
English

@UchihaDareNial @Fen0505 @Pirat_Nation I really don’t get people complaining about PC prices when I can head over to my local bestbuy and get a fairly priced prebuilt.

English

@Pirat_Nation Yeah thats gonna make a lot of old devices not work. I get the intention is security but its executed in true microslop fashion.

Microsoft is changing a Windows kernel policy that's been around for decades.
Starting in April 2026, Windows will stop trusting certain old kernel drivers by default.
These drivers were signed using a legacy system from the early 2000s that Microsoft retired in 2021.
From now on, the Windows kernel will only accept drivers that are properly signed through the modern Windows Hardware Compatibility Program.
Microsoft has also created a special list that will still allow some trusted older drivers to work.

@Pirat_Nation Just when you thought it can't get any worse, AI companies will find a way to make things worse for everyone else.

AI data centers are now using up a lot of regular CPUs, not just powerful GPUs and memory.
New "agentic" AI systems need many more CPUs.
These systems handle tasks like planning, using tools, and managing complex work. This means more CPUs are required to keep everything running smoothly.
Big tech companies are buying up server CPUs from Intel and AMD. As a result, wait times for these CPUs are now 6 months or longer in some cases, and prices are rising.

Ben Starr, voice of the protagonist in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, kept his expectations low before launch.
"I kept being like, ‘just keep your expectations in check... It’s a brilliant expression of what they want to make, but this isn’t going to be a smash hit video game.'"
The game sold over 5 million copies and sweep the 2025 Game Awards.
