Sony has announced new price increases for the PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal, effective April 2, 2026. -PS5 base will rise to $649.99 for the disc version and $599.99 for the digital version in the US. -PS5 Pro will go to $899.99. -The PlayStation Portal will increase to $249.99.

According NateTheHate, Nintendo is developing a new classic-style Star Fox game for the Switch 2. It is planned for release in summer 2026 and returns to the series' arcade roots with on-rails shooting. A major remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also in the works for the Switch 2, targeting a late 2026 release during the holiday season. No new 3D Mario game is expected until 2027.

Frieren season 3 has been announced for october 2027. Reportedly they wanted to give more time to the creators of the manga to push slightly ahead. I would rather have them take their time and produce a banger instead of rushing. Are you hyped or annoyed at the wait?

Microsoft is changing a Windows kernel policy that's been around for decades. Starting in April 2026, Windows will stop trusting certain old kernel drivers by default. These drivers were signed using a legacy system from the early 2000s that Microsoft retired in 2021. From now on, the Windows kernel will only accept drivers that are properly signed through the modern Windows Hardware Compatibility Program. Microsoft has also created a special list that will still allow some trusted older drivers to work.

Big tech companies are buying up server CPUs from Intel and AMD. As a result, wait times for these CPUs are now 6 months or longer in some cases, and prices are rising.
