Loved working on this one, Gundam Assemble and the Gundam Card Game are both hyping up my love for these mechs so getting to combine them is perfect.

I was never particularly sold on the Uniques concept, would love to have seen this as a more traditional TCG. Perhaps we’ll see it reborn in some way.

I've been putting this card in a lot of decks recently and looking at it and reading its name causes me great strife.

@RedZoneRogue Strong agreement from me on those missing roguelikes. Also the recency bias here is absolutely criminal.

Definitely not the order I'd put them in but an actually solid list overall. 🍻 I'd also add some lesser known bangers like Vault of the Void, Dicey Dungeons and Slice & Dice plus the classic Nethack.

Gods of Mars- Graham McNeill A solid ending to this Mechanicus trilogy, though not quite sticking the landing as well as I might like (in part due to some mixed sequel baiting in the epilogue). Still, one of the best looks at the weird esoterica of tech mixed with spirituality.

The Hobbit- J.R.R. Tolkien I will be reading through The Lord of the Rings this year and I started with a book I’ve worn cover-to-cover over the years. A simple, beloved adventure story for a reason, it still holds up beautifully and will likely remain my favorite of Tolkien’s.

For now the third year in a row I’m maintaining a habit of regularly reading, churning through Warhammer fiction primarily but also a very healthy chunk of other works of fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. Here I’ll give short reviews of 2026’s reading adventures.

Have to say, as someone who enjoyed TMNT as a kid but has zero skin in the game for modern turtles, the design for this UB set is really cool and I’m much more excited for it than, say, Marvel anything. Just a lot of fun stuff in here.
