Residents Meeting. Yesterday I hosted another well attended coffee morning in Huthwaite. This was another opportunity where constituents could ask me any question at all. The questions ranged from concerns about house building to alleged corruption in local politics. I was more than happy to answer questions on both. A well attended event with lots a decent people there from the village I lived in for over 40 years.

An awful by-election outcome for my home town of Rochdale and the country. Exceptional circumstances, and a very low turnout. But still a vote for hateful, toxic and divisive politics. Bigger lessons must be learned.
