Kaleidorider dev explains why romance feels shallow in current day gachas, it's because of FMC. Existence of FMC prevents explicit romantic interactions, why? Majority of people don't want to see same sex relationships in their gachas so this forces developers to make the interactions tamer for both main characters. This is on top of China's strict environment towards any rainbow propaganda. LaDS is one of the biggest moneymakers and it has explicit romance scenes and only has 1 MC. Now imagine if LaDS had a male mc, people would be weirded out and not play the game for obvious reasons. I will be supporting Kaleidorider from day 1.
