The #Fever have received a warning from the @WNBA regarding proper injury reporting. This stems from the last-minute scratch of #CaitlinClark before last night’s game with the Fire.

The Indiana Fever has received a warning related to proper injury report designations over Caitlin Clark's injury, per ESPN's @alexaphilippou. Due to WNBA injury rules, “player injuries” and “participation status” must be reported by 5 p.m. local time the day before a game. Clark was not listed on the team’s injury report Tuesday and then was declared out for Wednesday's game.

Given White said Clark did not practice yesterday, and there was no indication Clark was dealing with an ailment until she was ruled out 100 minutes before tip tonight, would imagine this is something the league may take a look at

Fever coach Stephanie White said Caitlin Clark woke up with stiffness in her back. Clark did not participate in practice yesterday, instead receiving treatment and going through workouts after practice.
White says she doesn't anticipate it'll be an ongoing issue but says "I'm not a doctor so I don't know."
Added it's "absolutely not" any sort of season-long management.
"She's healthy. We're not managing anything. This is just a back issue that we want to make sure we give the time to be ready."
