As someone who’s critiqued the recent tour drop vocals, “vocal lessons” won’t do shit when the issue is that the part simply isn’t designed for that person’s voice. It comes down to stamina or a mismatch in range and placement, because stamina is built over time and range + placement are tied to how a person’s voice naturally functions. The other members sound great when they’re singing in THEIR proper placement, and you can clearly hear the difference when they’re actually given parts that suit them instead of trying to cover Heeseung’s. They had barely ANY time whatsoever to adjust to a completely new lineup after heeseung was suddenly removed, and for that they did great whether you want to acknowledge it or not. Streaming on WEVERSE, or doing TikTok dances has nothing to do with how a person performs. Not to mention most of the time these activities are pushed by the company itself.
