Intense Backlash After Nigerian Leader Installed as “Igwe” in East London, Eastern Cape Officials Say Move Undermines Law and Disrespects Kingdom
The Eastern Cape government and traditional leaders have strongly rejected the recent installation of a Nigerian community leader as "Igwe Ndigbo Na East London," describing it as an unlawful attempt to undermine South African sovereignty and traditional authority.
Eastern Cape Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Zolile Williams expressed shock at the reported coronation of Chief Solomon Ogbonna Eziko in KuGompo (formerly East London) over the weekend of March 14-15, 2026.
The ceremony, hosted by the local Igbo/Nigerian community to mark over 30 years of their presence, involved celebrations and videos that circulated widely on social media. Williams distanced his department and the House of Traditional and Khoisan Leaders from the event, rejecting any "nefarious attempt" by foreigners to defy national sovereignty, destabilise the country, or threaten land ownership.
Chairperson of the Eastern Cape House of Traditional and Khoisan Leaders, Nkosi Mpumalanga Gwadiso, condemned the installation as a flagrant violation of customary protocols and an affront to the amaRharhabe kingdom, led by King Sandile, under whose jurisdiction the area falls.
He warned that the move disrespects heritage and could inflame tensions, jeopardise social cohesion, and provoke avoidable conflict despite traditional leaders' opposition to xenophobia. The House demanded an immediate public apology from organisers and the dissolution of the self-styled kingship.

It is illegal to bring that quantity of food to South Africa. They don't meet the SABS. It is smuggled in.

Chipotle always promotes free toppings on their burritos like corn salsa, cilantro rice and so on. However many customers are taking advantage of it by ordering a burrito with double meat, then loading up on so many toppings it becomes impossible to wrap with a single tortilla, then they order another tortilla on the side and agent they get home they will take some of the filling from the huge burrito and make another burrito with the extra tortilla they got on the side.
More and more people are taking advantage of this loop hole which allows customers to get a second burrito for only the price of the extra meat. Are customers going to ruin it for others or should Chipotle shut this down by weighing toppings here in out?

Chipotle announced they were having a buy one get one free deal between 3p-4p for a day. People started lining p around 2:00 to participate in the promotion. At about 2:40pm the manager at the Bronx chipotle shut down the store and did not open again until 4p. The manager then told the people who have been waiting in line for 2 hours that the promotion was over and they were not doing the buy one get one deal. What’s messed up is they knew they weren’t going to participate yet they did not tell anyone nor did they have a sign saying they weren’t doing it either. Since the kids have been waiting there patiently, shouldn’t they honor it anyways?
