@AerithClouds My personal opinion: FF16 has extremely high highs, but they are very limited. FF16 also has extremely low lows, but they are very abundant. For me there are too many lows to justify the highs. I'm happy to discuss specifics if you'd like, but otherwise I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I don't personally understand why FF16 gets so much hate, the gameplay, worldbuilding is some of the best in the entire franchise. I definitely have some critiques myself but the good outweighs the bad for me and as a whole it's such a good game and probably one of my fav FFs.

@aerithsroses Not only that, but people with the same knowledge of the lore might see the same scene and come to a different conclusion. Wish there could be healthier discussions all round.

I'm sorry, but putting a streamer on blast for asking an innocent and valid af question is so unnecessary. NO ONE deserves to be mocked for not knowing something. Not everyone has to be a lore expert to be a fan. Some of you guys are losing the plot.

@Supernerd471 This is just incredibly weird lmao. I haven’t played Remake after 4 years, so I apologize that I forgot about a good amount of details concerning it. The Remakes are not at all the same as the original, nor are the new concepts introduced. I’d rather this not turn to drama.

When dude was posting his thoughts playing through 7R for the first time it was was cute. Like a baby's first steps. Now he's replaying 7R after playing OG, CC, DoC & watching AC but he clearly hasn't paid attention to a goddamn thing.

@FFVIINovels Overall, it's probably between VII and VIII. VII has the cuteness factor of ChocoMog and Fat Chocobo. The triple Bahamuts are great, and of course KotR is over-the-top in the best ways. VIII probably has the better 'average' summons, and it has *that* Odin moment.

Does FFVII have the greatest collection of summons in Final Fantasy? If not, which game does?

One of the (many) things I love about Rebirth's combat is how it re-envisions classic JRPG elemental weaknesses. They not only give you a multitude of tools - they also reward you for using *the right tools in the right situations*. It rewards approaching battles strategically.

My thoughts on FF7 Rebirth are still pending: I think this a game that Square wanted to make for a long time. Their development habits still remain but they mostly succeed with what they set out to create It so many things fantastically but has a major Achilles heel

@SetoShadow41 @_SpyDtroid_ I strongly disagree. My wife had no OG knowledge, and she's found Remake delightful. She wouldn't have been willing to even try it if it was pitched as a sequel (if that's even the right term). I like to think that the game was made for people like her too.

@Ff7Theories @_SpyDtroid_ I feel like it's a choice specifically letting the player know this is Remake for a reason. I have always felt especially during this time period saying something was a Remake only for it to be a secret sequel was to please investors

@_SpyDtroid_ I played Remake first with my wife - I had compilation knowledge, she had none. I think the magic is that the game is a very different experience in both cases, but both are amazing experiences. Keen to hear what you think upon going back to it! Have fun with it 😃
