I don’t know if I’m the only one feeling this, but modern football systems have become way too reliant on wide play, especially against low blocks.
Almost every top team now just gives the ball to their best winger, Doku for City, Lamine for Barça, Olise for Bayern, Vini for Madrid,... and waits for him to beat his man and create something. If he doesn’t, the whole attack suddenly looks toothless.
I rarely see those smart central combinations anymore, the kind of football Barça used to play with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, breaking compact defenses through tight spaces and quick interplay. Now most teams just default to going around the block instead of through it.
I'm not sure if this is because there isn't the quality to do that anymore or if it's because low blocks adapted and became more compact for that kind of football.
@DaramsOpeyemi@FabrizioRomano Why would it be? Especially if he’s pivotal for France too.
He’s been the key man for PSG in the champions league this season
🚨 Toni Kroos tells Marca: “Luis Enrique subbed out Ousmane Dembélé, his best player, in the 65th minute of a Champions League semi-final and nobody complained. He exits the pitch, shakes his coach’s hand and sits on the bench cheering his teammates. There are some counter examples to this.”
“You look at Ousmane Dembélé, and how he's yelling at his teammates to keep fighting, from the bench. That's not what 90% of players who think they're stars would do. They start to do bad gestures on the pitch, then sit on the bench sulking.”
@Richievqbod@theberneese But my boy get World Cup trophy wey no player at Barcelona current team has one and even Ronaldo nazario never win ucl tittle but still considers one of the greatest players in the history of football
@Arogomo6Paths@theRealSaykoo Which law is this? Why are fouls given when a player handles the ball in the middle of the park regardless of who struck it?
Yesterday, John Mbadi said he would be coming to Nairobi and asked people to support him. Today, he has gone further and announced his bid for Nairobi Governor, and even hinted at a possible run for President in 2032.
But many people are asking questions. Why is so much energy being used to fight Babu Owino? Every move he makes seems to be watched closely. It feels like some leaders want him to fail before he even gets to the top. They are restless, always planning, always reacting.
Some believe this is part of a bigger plan by William Ruto to control Nairobi politics. Bringing candidates like Mbadi could be a way to divide votes and weaken Babu’s chances.
But politics is not always about plans on paper. If it is Babu’s time, then nothing will stop him. No strategy, no pressure, no division. Even if new candidates come in, the people will decide. And if they stand with him, he will still emerge victorious.
GUN on your head🔫
Without mentioning Thaigo Alcantara and javier Mascherano.
Name a player who’s played for Liverpool and Barcelona?
LEVEL: VERY DIFFICULT 🤯
@CaptainDominicO Rusheni Mawe huku bana but I guess we are not short of choices. How does one queue to vote for someone who shoots people because they played a song he doesn't want to hear? The other one you people had produced turned city Hall to a slapping arena!
🗣️ Cafu: “I am afraid, the more we have Brazilians moving to the Premier League, the fewer chances for Brazil to win the World Cup.
Imagine being brainwashed by the media every week that you are the best in the world, meanwhile, you are not near the best.
I prefer La Liga because they have a high mentality to reach finals and win them. In La Liga, they don't have a mouth in front of TV cameras telling lies about Spanish players or hyping them to the world.
They speak football there, not myth.”
@Fhub92@sholard_mancity I think the president had prepared earlier for the incoming campaigns. You can't tell me he's using this crisis to get funds for campaigns.
The reaction here by KK bots and mass pr accounts shows this hit a nerve.
Let me be clear: if youths are harmed on Tuesday while protesting, we will hold William Ruto accountable, regardless of where he is.
Police independence exists on paper. In practice, we will judge actions, not statements.
@KonyiLevi26753@sholard_mancity This lie go and tell it to fools. Kenya has the most expensive oil in EA. Everybody understands the price had to hike due to the global prices. However, Kenya's oil skyrocketed due to government to goon arrangement where the goon is seeking campaign funds using our taxes.
@sholard_mancity Protesting over fuel prices or what?
I think high fuel prices are attributed to conflicts in the Middle East, and it's a global crisis, too .
It's not only kenya where fuel prices are high 😒
I come in peace ✌️
@kevinde04353549@UnscriptedFooty Were you waiting to reply or read the place where Lamine has 200 chances created over Olise's 99? He cant create and score. This should be common sense.
@UnscriptedFooty olise is much more efficient and is much more of a team player, yamal is flashy but not as efficient as olise and is more of a creative centre
