Just launched our website for the @BSHSNews annual conference in Aberystwyth. It was so much fun doing it bilingual! I'm trying to get the social media posts in Cymraeg, too, but my language skills are more limited than Adobe's trials. Check out, anyway! conference.bshs.org.uk

I only got 2 books for Christmas but they both sound amazing & they are about women’s history!! Mum & Dad visited @bletchleypark a few wks ago, saw the book on the left & knew it was for me. And the amazing @LynseyRogers found the book on the right & immediately thought of me! ❤️

I can feel myself heading off down a new 'historical woman of science' rabbit hole! Are there any children's books about Mary Somerville?
The Royal Society@royalsociety

Born #OnThisDay in 1780 was the polymath Mary Somerville. She was the first woman to have a paper read to and published by the Royal Society, with her paper on the relationship between light and magnetism, and she in fact inspired the coining of the word 'scientist' itself.
