Just set up JetBrain’s Rider for some MAUI work on macos. It’s a real PITA to get the simulators working. And difficult to determine if it’s a XCode issue, JB Rider or MAUI. A lot to be said for staying on VS 2022 and doing the initial code/test iteration against Windows.

@xneeloStatus_SA what is happening with the Cape Town DC? I can’t get through on any of the phone numbers. All our servers are unreachable. I understand issues happen but I’m not impressed with the lack of comms on this account. What do I tell my clients?

Wasted hours today looking for an easy way to clean up the warnings in our app: "ProgressDialog is obsolete: This class is obsoleted in this android platform". The AlertDialog works but I need an easy way to show an Indeterminate dialog. Going to look at @Syncfusion

Interesting article on the cons of microservices: blog.matthieud.me/2019/microserv…. When you are green fielding a project I think you can set good boundaries for your microservices. Once you have an evolving application in production things get more complex.

I love @DevExpress been using their controls for 10 years. However for the umpteenth time @CodeRush has caused me to lose hours troubleshooting slow debugging, which disappears the moment you uninstall CodeRush. (written in anger, not the first time this issue has happened) 🙄

That moment, when you've been scratching your head over some code functionality for 30 mins, then you read the notes at the top of the method, from 6 yrs ago, and they succinctly explain what you've been looking for 😐

@xamarinhq It's surreal going through old (2012) Windows Mobile code adding a feature we haven't yet ported to Android. Amazing how technical debt is paying dividends though as both the Windows Mobile and Android apps are developed C# courtesy of Xamarin.
