Shining a spotlight on the Augmented Reality Home Assessment Tool (ARHAT) project! Members of our lab are collaborating with investigators from @SchoolofHumanEcology to develop and test this revolutionary mobile app designed to break barriers for aging in place!

Building on Meera et al. (2023), our latest study (under review) reveals notable results! Participants found the ARHAT highly useful and shared suggestions for increasing its accessibility. This is vital to encourage acceptance and ensure a seamless user experience.

Fields et al. (2023) explored ARHAT's potential with experts and aging adults. The tool received praise for user-friendliness, and for identifying home barriers effectively. Expert feedback was carefully incorporated into the tool's enhancements. aging.jmir.org/2023/1/e44525

What is ARHAT? ARHAT utilizes 3D-capture tech on iPhones to swiftly assess home environments, addressing limitations and barriers that prevent or restrict people from aging in place.
