Highly recommend this very interesting new paper about modes of evolution. I'll be reading it again--and then probably again & again. It's insightful, idea rich, & thought provoking even in places where I disagree w/ interpretations!

The latest hifiasm can directly assemble standard @nanopore simplex R10 reads, without HERRO correction or other preprocessing, to phased contigs of contiguity comparable to HiFi assembly. Like before, you can further add ultra-long, Hi-C or trio data for better assembly.

So excited that our work on the first speciation gene pair in nematodes C. briggsae and C. nigoni finally got published on PNAS. It is really a tough but thrilling journey! It is just the beginning of the story of F-box genes, and I cannot wait to tackle the next one! Stay tuned
