Covid-19 Day of Reflection, on Sunday 9 March, is a chance for us to remember those who lost their lives and to honour those who worked tirelessly during the pandemic. 2025 marks 5 years since the pandemic began and we continue to honour and remember those affected.

Congratulations to the worthy winners at the Fife Business Diversity Awards. The Awards celebrate the success of people who have faced overwhelming challenges on their journey to find and stay in work, and employers who create diverse workforces, providing opportunities for all.

Congratulations to Coaltown of Wemyss primary school who have won the Gold Sports Scotland award in recognition of the sporting activities and opportunities provided for all the children there -both in school and through after school clubs. Well done everyone! 👏

You might not think it from the second picture, but I had an amazing time at the #LinksMarket which opened yesterday in #Kirkcaldy. The dodgems are always my favourite!

Depute Provost Cllr Donald Lothian was in St Andrews at the weekend to watch the annual Kate Kennedy procession. It was great to see so many people coming together and spirits clearly weren't dampened by the weather!

Congratulations to #dougrayscott who has been selected to lead the Tartan Day Parade in New York City this year. Dougray is one of oor ain. I know his family will be extremely proud of him, just as we Fifers are. Well done Dougray, we’re all behind you!

Popped into Kelty Community Centre to catch up with kids taking part in the ActiveEat programme. @FifeActiveSch are running this with local primary schools combining sport and free food for local kids in the run up to Christmas – can highly recommend the stovies!

It's not every day you get a fire appliance named after you! This is one of three now on a 7,000 mile trip to Argentina. Thanks to everyone at International Fire and Rescue, Thornton for a brilliant day 🙏🚒

Great to see so many people coming together to have some fun at Dunfermline's gala on Saturday!

We celebrated 60 years of Kirkcaldy and Ingolstadt being twin towns on Friday. A beautiful bronze casting gifted by the people of Ingolstadt has been installed the square outside the Town House to celebrate our long friendship.

I was in Dunfermline last week for Armed Forces Day and the Black Watch Freedom of Fife parade . It was an honour to be at both events.

On Saturday, I was at Edinburgh Castle at the 21 gun salute to mark King Charles III’s official birthday. It was an honour to be part of the celebrations.
