As a head I'm beginning to get ground down by complaints, SARs, lack of money, no staff,absence and a constant pressure to do better with less. It's not sustainable and we need to actually do something beyond describing the known issues. I've seen too many good people go.

By 9am today: a parent complaining about a member of staff for nothing,a dad trying to get me set a fight up on a field between him & another dad & a mum questioning if we can keep the school safe because there was an alleged gunman near to a school 5 miles away 🤯🤦🏼‍♂️😩😂#headship

Working in schools is really hard. And you get caught up in the day-to-day grind. But then you sit down on a Friday (possibly with a glass of wine), and reflect on the difference everyone in the building makes. It’s hard to think of a better purpose
