We’re the only "advanced" nation that treats a plastic card like a civil rights violation. In France, Germany, and even Mexico, showing a photo ID to vote isn't a political statement. It’s a basic administrative reality. Claiming that certain groups are "incapable" of getting an ID isn't an act of compassion. It’s the soft bigotry of low expectations. We’ve turned a standard security measure into a racial purity test because it’s easier than actually fixing the system. If 80% of the world can figure it out, we aren't "oppressed." We’re just being manipulated by people who profit from the chaos. Democracy dies when we stop trusting the process, and you can't have trust without verification. It’s time to stop the theater.
