When companies are reporting record excess profits, it means they are capturing more money from customers and choosing not to pay it to the workers who generated it. Underpaid labor is the primary source of excess profits.

Multinational corporations outsourced jobs by the millions for cheap labor. They shuttered factories. They closed down lines. It was a better investment than economic patriotism. Then they made half the country believe immigrants took all the jobs.

Every time a talking head speaks about a booming economy, they mean the stock market. The vast majority of us own little to no stocks. They don't pay us enough to. We can’t invest when rents have doubled but our paychecks have stayed the same.

#GreedyCEOs will say to your face “we’re a family here!” but, the minute they see an opportunity to boost earnings by a fraction of a percent by letting you go, they’ll fire you over text. The only true work family that exists? A union.

Meta is dumping over $125 billion into AI infrastructure and development spend. Yet they still axed 8000 people. This isn't some company in distress. When record profits meet mass layoffs, asking for accountability doesn't work. Collective action does. Meta needs a union.

Record profits across the board. They say that all trickles down but the numbers say otherwise. The only thing going up are prices, not wages.

This admin has taken a hardline stance against low income earners. Gutting food assistance at a time when food manufacturing giants are pulling record profits from raising the retail costs of food 30% is an attack on working families. Richest country in history?

Are they starting to get it? Higher wages directly shrink expensive turnover, eliminate constant retraining costs, lower chronic burnout, and retain highly engaged loyal staff. Paying a living wage is as much an investment in their own business as it is in their own people.

Billionaires are threatening to leave California if the new wealth tax is implemented. This is a bluff for most, however, if all of them did leave it would take over two decades to make up the difference. Meanwhile, workers pay their fair share while oligarchs pay next to nothing

Just wait until all shelves feature digital labels. Sounds fine until you realize they’re designed to enable surge pricing, where stores can jump prices on a whim in an effort to extort maximum profits. What, current prices aren’t already bad enough?

Do you remember when radio stations used to give away concert tickets and backstage passes? I just heard a midday radio giveaway, and now the prizes are groceries, a year of gas, or rent paid. It’s a strange reminder that survival has become the prize. That’s pretty sad.

Oil prices surged due to the war with Iran. Oil has since come back down, yet what we pay at the pump has stayed relatively the same. The only ones winning here are oil companies and gas stations. Literal highway robbery.

Companies are now raking in profits at a pace of $4.4 trillion a year. That's trillion, with a T. Highest since the 50s. The vast majority of these record profits went to shareholders and executives while the rest of us can't afford groceries and rent.

More than half of Americans can’t afford food or gas. Meanwhile, the top .1% increased their wealth by $2.59T during Trump’s second term. Republicans ran on affordability, and then immediately passed more giant tax breaks for billionaires. Our struggles are a policy choice.

Why are Americans so frustrated by grocery prices? A) Prices rose a lot in recent years (over 25% in past 5 yrs) B) Grocery prices barely moved in the 2014-2019 years. Relatively speaking, the past few years are a BIG shock for Americans. Credit: Heather Long/Twitter

Corporate profits soared last quarter to their highest levels since right before the Great Depression, reaching 14.4%. They keep raising prices to pad excess profits, leaving us all holding the bag. This is a systemwide coordinated effort that's crushing the working class.

St. Paul, Mn just implemented a higher minimum wage! Most businesses will now begin to pay $16.37/hr to start. This also gives everyone else significantly more bargaining power. A rising tide lifts all ships!

Corporations have announced 443,604 job cuts this year. This is the second highest Jan-June layoffs since the pandemic. Last year was nearly double this. And yet experts keep telling us everything's fine, stocks are up! 👀

One year ago Trump signed the OBBBA, where he gave the richest 1% over $1,000,000,000,000 and paid for it by shredding our healthcare and throwing 4,000,000 of our most vulnerable off nutrition assistance. Happy anniversary.

As workers, and as Americans, we won’t spend our money at places that enable the targeting, detaining and deporting of our friends, family, and neighbors. Our communities are already struggling enough! This 4th of July weekend, let's not ride with Enterprise!
