@Mike_M_Klotz In high school ('74) I bought a '67 GTO. The engine was in pieces in the trunk. My dad and I built it in our garage. Bored .030 over, aluminum pistons, Sig cam, Holley 4bbl, headers, & Muncie 4sp. Car was fast. Woman turned in front of me in '76 and totaled it.

Actress Laura Benanti got her ego bruised while boarding a plane when she ran into a group of teenagers from a theater program and none of them recognized her. Her caption read: “I guess they weren’t alive to watch The Tonys in 2008.” How many of you know her?

This turned into a real-life crime scene REAL fast… She’s just in Target, minding her business, walking through the toy section… when something feels off. Not obvious. Not loud. Just… weird. One woman grabs expensive toys; quickly, without even looking; like she already knew exactly what she came for. No browsing. No hesitation. That’s when the gut feeling kicks in. Instead of ignoring it… she watches. And what she sees next confirms everything. The woman casually shoves the items into her backpack. No attempt to hide it. No fear. Just bold. But it gets worse… She follows her; and realizes she’s not alone. Two more people. Same backpacks. Same behavior. Now it’s clear; this isn’t random. This is coordinated. A full; on shoplifting operation happening in broad daylight. That’s when she makes a choice most people wouldn’t… She reports it. Finds an employee. Gives details. Points them out. Helps stop it before they walk out the door. And just like that, a normal Target run turns into something straight out of a movie. Now people are divided… Some say she did the right thing. Others are asking; was it worth getting involved. So be honest; would you have stepped in and reported it, or minded your business and kept it moving? And where’s the line between being aware… and getting too involved?

@lady_valor_07 If we didn't finish our dinner, it would be waiting for us at breakfast. My mom was not a good cook, and she made some crazy shit at times. Once I hit high school, I had the option of eating at home or not. I'd always ask what she was making before saying I would be there or not.

I spent about a year doing on-call computer repair work, and let me tell you you see things. Things you can't unsee. Plenty of Hoarders, elderly men with interesting sexual fantasies, Multimillonaire Lawyers with closets full of gay porn, etc. The job humbles you real fast. But nothing, and I mean nothing topped this one call. Guy was a retired old dude living in a double-wide out at one of those nicer trailer park communities. Real chill. Friendly. Offered me a soda before I even sat down. Normal enough, right? Except. Running along the walls through every single room in the house, occasionally disappearing into a hole in the wall and reappearing on the other side was a train track. Like a full toy train setup, but mounted up high, looping the entire house. I didn't ask. I just got to work. He had a browser hijack, simple fix. I'm sitting there, laptop open, almost done when I hear it. "Clack clack clack clack clack." I look up. A toy train is rolling across my field of vision. And riding on top of that train, like he owns the place which, honestly, he does.... is a blue macaw. Decent sized bird. Bright blue. Sitting on the train like a tiny, feathered conductor. He makes direct eye contact with me and says "Choo choo motherfucker." Then disappears into the wall. I sat there for a good ten seconds just staring at the hole in the wall. The old man didn't even look up. Totally normal Tuesday for him. Turns out the bird had a birth defect that made flying difficult, so the man built him a personal train system to cruise around the house. As you do. One of the most surreal moments of my entire life. I finished the job, took my forty bucks, and walked out a changed person.

@snoozebum70 @Bennieeexyz Many years ago I had two parrots and a cat. One of the birds was always saying "here kitty kitty." I taught him because I didn't like the cat. He liked to try to grab the cat's tail if it got close. 🤣

@Bennieeexyz I was carpet cleaning in Denver at one point, and someone had a parrot and a cat. The parrot would constantly say “here, kitty kitty!” I sometimes wonder if that ever went bad.

@GuntherEagleman I graduated in '75. This never happened back then. If it did, it was rare. There were occasionally men teachers that did this, but I don't remember seeing women accused of it at all. Plus, nearly all of our female teachers looked like crap. It was rare to see a hot female teacher

🚨 KEEPS HAPPENING! Two female teachers at Centennial High School in Peoria, AZ, Haley Beck and Angela Burlaka, have been accused of sexual conduct with the same underage male student. Beck (hired 2020) faces grooming and pandering charges. Burlaka (25+ years experience) accused of sending obscene material. Both were placed on leave. One resigned and surrendered her teaching certificate. The other was fired by the school board. No arrests yet, case sent back for more investigation.

The hit and run! This man was in his bedroom at night when he heard a loud noise outside. He went out to investigate and found that someone had hit his car. And there’s more! The driver ditched the scene but left her purse. So was it alcohol or fear? I’m thinking she’s going to regret her decision tomorrow.

🚨HEARTBREAKING REAL STORY: Bay Area couple Jody & Paul Glaser lost ~$60K to USPS check thieves over a simple property tax payment. They wrote a check for nearly $28,000 to pay their Santa Clara County property taxes (due like clockwork every year). Like millions do, they dropped it in a blue USPS mailbox right outside the post office. Easy, right? Wrong. Months later (around early 2026), the county sent a late notice. Paul checked their bank statement—shocked to see the check had cleared... but not to the tax collector. It showed up altered: payee line chemically "washed" clean, rewritten to a random woman's name (nothing like "Santa Clara County Tax Collector"). The thief cashed/deposited it at a U.S. Bank ATM in Minnesota. Nearly $28,000 gone. The Glasers still owed the full taxes + hefty penalties/interest → total hit ~$60,000 out of pocket. Thread 3/4: They contacted Wells Fargo (their bank) for a fraud claim/refund. Bank initially investigated but ultimately denied reimbursement—said the Glasers reported it "too late" after discovering the issue. No mercy, even though the theft happened in the mail system. Jody described the moment: Paul yelled "Baaaah!" from the other room when he saw the altered check image. This isn't isolated—check washing exploded, with thieves targeting tax payments/refunds because they're high-value & predictable.
