The actions you take to defend yourself should not be decided by lawmakers, judges, law enforcement or a jury. When someone crosses the line and physically attacks you, you should be able to defend yourself. How you to choose to defend yourself is up to you. The goal is to get the attacker to stop and you should be able to do whatever it takes. We aren't on a school yard anymore. As adults, you should understand that if you assault someone, they may defend themselves in a way which you may not like and it could end very poorly for you. I'm always armed. If someone walks up and starts punching me, I'm not going to box him on the sidewalk. I have a weapon and if he manages to get that weapon from me, he could kill me with it. In these situations it's a use or lose it scenario. I have no desire to shoot anyone, but at the end of the day, I value seeing my kids grow up more than I value your need to attack me. Carrying a gun also makes me much less apt to get into confrontations. I deescalate things. I don't want it to get to point where I'm going to have to use lethal force over a dumb argument. The Chud case is going to be interesting. If I were on a jury and saw the man attacking him, in my eyes, it's clear cut self defense. He has to prove he feared for his life and he's been getting a lot of death threats, so that's easy. Showing his social media posts to a jury however could convince them that he was out for blood. Just a bad situation overall.

I didn’t want to be right when I said this would happen, I wanted to stop it from happening. Some of you made this dude famous and enabled him because you wanted this to happen.
