So many good news stories crossed into my Twitter feed over the last week of April that I thought I should start a thread 🧵.

@LeslynLewis Liberal insiders are as Canadian as Conservative insiders. The only difference is the Liberals get to fill their pockets while the Conservatives must wait and weep.

The Liberal Infrastructure Bank is designed not for Canadians, but for Liberal insiders. It provides below-market-rate loans to Liberal-connected companies, and gives contracts to foreign suppliers over Canadian companies. So much for the supposed "Buy Canada" plan.

Kevin O'Leary's massive data center was approved by a county commission in Utah last night. At 40,000 acres, it would be 2.5x the size of Manhattan. The commission approved the proposal despite opposition from hundreds of locals.

A sovereign wealth fund requires… wealth. Canada has no surplus to invest. Because of Carney's deficits. So this will be nothing more than a $25 billion sovereign debt fund for Liberal insiders, paid for by working Canadians.

Conservatives worked all day to restore real mandatory minimum penalties in Bill C-16. But the Liberals shut us down—ruling our proposals out of order and voting against the rest. In a bill they claim restores mandatory minimums, they refused to back them. They’re even rejecting our amendment to stop courts from watering them down through hypothetical scenarios. These Liberals say one thing, do another.

Mark Carney promised a pipeline to the Pacific. A year in, still no start date, no route, no deadline, no end point. No clear progress. And still, the Liberals' $264 million Major Projects Office has approved zero projects. So much for “building at speeds not seen in generations.”
