You can just do things, powered by @base. Starting to see @Flashduels click for users, builders and curators. Still early days but over the next 30, we’re set to unlock permissionless and personalized prediction markets.

Prediction markets have been restrictive, one-off and favouring the capital - it changes w/ @Flashduels.
Abhitej | Bento.fun@abhitejxyz

Testing @Flashduels Alpha on internal testnet. What comes next: > F1 auctions, followed by Football > User-owned leagues > Duels + Flash tournaments Drop me a DM if you would live to be among the first cohort of users. Not playing exclusivity game - simply DM so we can create a better feedback loop.

It’s prediction market szn. But we’re not here to play the same old game. > Markets you own > Game modes you choose > Value that compounds > Duels from 30m -> 24h This is just the tip of the iceberg. Alpha is dropping any moment. Lock in.

Prediction markets today are too limited and slow. They circle around popular topics, need heavy liquidity. Sports are different. They move fast, with constant nuance, and demand mechanisms beyond plain binary outcomes. To unlock this, we need ground-up design - new gaming layers, faster cycles, and GTMs that actually fit fans. That’s exactly what we’re tackling with @Flashduels: conviction markets for long-term fans, powered by quick-fire duels.
Shane Mac@ShaneMac

I don't understand why every prediction market mini-app or agent isn't solely focused on sports. Especially in group chats with friends. It's THE thing.

Following @j0hnwang’s prediction markets bull posts for a week. Excited for @FilamentFinance/@Flashduels. Flashduels v1: Perpetual Prediction Markets (Conviction Markets) Flashduels v2: Leveraged Conviction Market powered by Filament Pro But in my experience achieving the right balance between entertainment x leveraged predictions, the team needs to have understanding of: > Cultural hooks: what would bring users back even if there’s no upside (it needs to be fun in itself) > Risk/margin engine > Composable gaming logics

What “conviction instruments” should look like? If sports is a religion, the faithful deserve a way to hold belief over time, not settle after one whistle. A conviction instrument should be: > Narrative-aligned: season/era based, not just fixtures > Creator-anchored: launched by people you trust - analysts, fan leaders, club legends > Composable: tradable as narratives evolve; belief can compound > Accessible: $1–$10 entry, Apple Pay friendly, no wallet gymnastics > Cultural: memes, clips, live banter baked in because culture is the UX This is the hole FlashDuels fills: duels and tokens that map to belief over time, not just 90 minutes.

Build, release, listen, iterate. Again and again.

Day 7/365: Building @FilamentFinance Learning the hard way: Getting the product right in the first go is similar to winning the lottery on your first ticket. It took us so many different products and product iterations to reach @Flashduels: > Filament v0.5 - hit order scaling issue; hard to revamp the entire model > Filament v1 - funding-borrowing rate harmony in OB-COMB pool hybrid was creating fee distribution issues > Filament v1.2 - OB manipulation led to mapping edge case > Built Run It Back -> fast games needed 1000s of users participating > 60 seconds options - without the house; was hard to sustain > Flashduels (Basic Binary Options) - wasn't needed by users > Launchpad for Binary Options - no clear differentiation from prediction markets > Binary Options for F1 - F1 caught attention, but the model felt complex All of these iterations helped us gain better insights about users, products, and most importantly markets to tap into. What works on paper rarely survives first contact with reality - liquidity cycles shift, market timing throws surprises, user behaviour doesn’t match assumptions. You realise quickly: the product isn’t something you figure out once - it’s something you uncover over time. I’ve found myself stuck before fixated on one version of the product, one idea of how it should work. And honestly, that’s where progress stalled. I was busy pushing a car with square wheels, refusing to see there might be a better shape. The breakthrough came not from a “perfect vision,” but from putting things out, observing real user behaviour, and doubling down on what worked even if it looked nothing like my original idea. Iterations help you spot the sparks, let go of dead weight, and move closer to product-market fit - not in a straight line, but in responsive loops. Every product that compounds eventually gets there through speed, feedback, and the humility to keep evolving. Build, release, listen, iterate. Again and again.

Prediction markets have a conviction problem. They force you into binary bets: "Will BTC hit $130K by December?" Pay $1 if yes, $0 if no. Clean math. Terrible psychology. Real conviction doesn't work like that. The Binary Trap Most prediction markets operate like casino games. You pick a side, place a bet, wait for results. Win or lose. All or nothing. This works fine for simple questions with clear endpoints. "Who wins the election?" "Will it rain tomorrow?" But it completely misses how people actually form beliefs about complex things. You don't wake up one day convinced Nvidia will dominate the market. That conviction builds over quarters and years of watching performance, innovation, market response. The Compounding Problem Think about your strongest investment beliefs. Maybe you think ETH will cross $10K in the coming years, not overnight, but through years of upgrades, sentiment flipping from "ETH is dead" to "ETH is king" and major inflows. Or will Filament will make a massive comeback. These aren't yes/no propositions with expiration dates. They're "more right over time" theses. Performance compounds, evidence accumulates, network effects kick in, metrics improve, narratives solidify. Your conviction strengthens or weakens based on ongoing results, not a single snapshot. Current setups lets you to bet on specific milestones by specific dates. But what you really want is equity in your thesis as it plays out over time. The Context Shift The conviction about the same thing can be right and wrong simultaneously, depending on timeframe and perspective. Betting on your favorite underdog team might be emotionally right but financially wrong (poor short-term odds). Vanilla prediction markets make you choose one perspective. What if you could hold both? Own tokens that reflect long-term growth potential while hedging short-term volatility? The Evolution Gap Everything changes. The startup you believed in pivots. The athlete you backed gets injured then comes back stronger. The political candidate you supported shifts positions. Binary prediction markets lock you into single moments in time. But real conviction adapts. It survives setbacks. It compounds through multiple cycles. With @Flashduels, instead of betting on outcomes only, you buy equity in entities. These tokens gain or lose value based on ongoing performance metrics, not single events. Your "underdog athlete" token might drop during a rough season but compound over many seasons as they improve. Your conviction becomes an investment that evolves with reality. This isn't about predicting specific outcomes. It's about aligning your portfolio with your genuine beliefs and letting those beliefs compound over time.

1/ The founder journey is far from glamorous - particularly when you are playing a long-term game. Setbacks, pivots and near-death experiences are the norm. It’s never the idea - it’s the people, it’s the endless fire to succeed.
