With Hans Zimmer scoring, you simply can’t lose. 9/10.

It’s International #RewatchingNolan Tuesday 🦇 Tonight: back to where it all (re)begins: Batman Begins (2005) The first time I saw this was so long ago that even Filmsomniac has no record of it. All I really remember? Cillian Murphy with a bag over his head… and Liam Neeson!

Lost its shape in the second half, but the late winner saved it. 8/10.

And, same thing like in Memento: what happened later? Did she tell what she found out and what he confessed?

#RewatchingNolan 2/11: Insomnia (2002) Apparently I’ve seen this. Filmsomniac doesn’t know when. Neither do I. All I remember: Pacino. Fog. Big rock. #NowWatching

Twin Peaks vibe is strong in this one. The floating logs scene was really cool. And disturbing. I wish they had shown more of those amazing Alaska sceneries. And yes — there was Pacino. Fog. Big rock. 9/10

What’s your favourite Robert Duvall film? I think mine is Gone in Sixty Seconds.

Is this the best action movie of the 90s?

Just finished The Machinist. Not even sure if I liked it — but it was undeniably effective. Dark in the same league as Se7en. I was torn between 8/10 and 9/10… Going with 9/10.

Rewatching "The Machinist (2004)". 15+ years since last watch. #NowWatching

A tough story and as dark as I remembered. Still a 9/10.

To recover from Romeo + Juliet, I needed something light and uplifting 😄 Rewatching Sleepers (1996). #NowWatching

Just noticed both Romeo + Juliet and Sleepers were released in 1996. Opposite ends of the film continuum. Do they cancel each other out?

To suffer wretched art is oft the price by which we learn to cherish what is fair.

Forsooth, I lasted five-and-forty minutes. A spectacle loud of colour yet hollow of heart. Shakespeare’s words, but chaos their master. I take my leave. 3/10.
