Just Watched: A Place Called Silence (2024) A Place Called Silence is an Asian (Chinese) thriller filled with bullies, blood, and villains—exactly my taste. During the first half of the film, I honestly felt like I had already seen better versions of this story. It seemed to follow the classic Asian revenge formula, strongly reminding me of "The Glory". Because of that, I thought I could predict where everything was heading. The second half proved me completely wrong. It shattered almost all of my expectations and destroyed nearly every guess I had about how the film would end. The story takes turns that are far more brutal, emotional, and surprising than I anticipated. Self-proclaimed film scientists who love to overthink every symbol and hidden meaning might have mixed feelings about it (not that the film lacks depth or that the twists don’t make sense). But people who primarily care about entertainment and emotional impact will absolutely get what they ordered. While the final reveals can feel slightly bloated at times due to the sheer number of plot twists, they remain entertaining and mostly logical. Overall, ,,A Place Called Silence" is a great thriller - one that sticks with you and leaves you asking a disturbing question long after the credits roll: Are we all bad?

Project Hail Mary Review 4/5 Stars Well even tho im not the biggest space film enjoyer I can appreciate this film If you watch it its probably one of the movies that makes sense to watch on the big screen The first half imo was a bit slow, ryan gosling just goofing around making bad jokes and looking way too young for his actual age When Rocky joins the film goes in the right direction Some things seem rushed while others seem like you could tell more about Whats bothering me is the goofy unseriousness throughout the film, he just wakes up in this giant spaceship far away from home no idea what hes doing and all he does is making bad jokes He meets a never seen before Species and guess what he makes some bad jokes Makes the film lighthearted and adds its flavour thats for sure but not 100% for me Overall definitly an above average film but imo gets praised a bit too much - probably because the space bros dont get that many movies anymore nowadays

I went into WHISTLE with very low expectations. The premise “If you blow the whistle, you summon your future death” sounded silly, but I thought it might at least be entertaining. Unfortunately, even my low expectations were disappointed. It’s not scary, not funny, and the story is boring with completely generic characters. If you value your time more than I do, skip this one 0.5/5

Just watched: Undertaker 2 Thai Drama Undertaker 2 is a visually stunning film with top-notch cinematography that easily rivals Hollywood productions. The beautiful shots showcase Thailand and its culture in a truly impressive way. Even without seeing the first movie, the story was easy to follow and felt complete. The humor clearly resonated with the Thai audience, though some jokes didn’t fully land for me as a foreigner. I especially liked the dual storyline: the wholesome main plot balanced with a darker, more emotionally compelling side story. Overall, it’s a touching drama with a strong message about life, loss, and hope.

Just watched: MOTHER (2020) マザー MOTHER is hard to watch - not because it’s bad, but because it’s deeply disturbing and heartbreaking. The performances are absolutely insane. The likable characters make you suffer alongside them, while the annoying ones genuinely make your skin crawl. I've read that people say that its lacking character development for them. I think thats the main point of the whole film and the reason why it works in the way it works I don’t want to say much more-this is something you really need to experience for yourself.
