She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have lived with cats in my previous home. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. Thumper tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He has a beautiful face and sweet green eyes with which he gazed at me softly when he came forward and parked himself loaf-style to get a better look at me. He was a quick study with a squeeze-up and definitely enjoys his food. He seems like he'd be a willing playmate, but proved a bit afraid of the red laser and the cat dancer. I think both were foreign to him. Others have reported that he can get overstimulated. In my estimation, he's also easily scared. Pineapple talked back to me a bit when I started to sing to him, which I found pretty winning. Pantha interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Although Pantha is showing level 2 behavior here in our care center, due to a multiple scratch & bite history the behavior team is recommending he goes to a single-pet, adult only home with experienced cat parents. The behavior team believes that Pantha has the chance to thrive with the right cat parents and ideally in a quiet, low-traffic home with daily mental and physical stimulation provided. A volunteer writes: Pantha is a handsome tuxedo cat who does not play well with children. He can be fearful when meeting strangers, but may warm up with time. He can be prone to becoming overstimulated, so that is something his future parents will need to be on the lookout for. In the shelter, Pantha has been described as social, sweet, affectionate and people oriented. He can be unsure of his surroundings. He needs experienced cat parents who will treat him gently. Because of his history of playing roughly with kids, he needs to go to a home which does not include young children. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻

Friends and Viking fans, I’m asking for some help, we are going to help a horrible hoarding situation near Hinckley. Owner passed away, his disabled brother is at the house, there are at least 30 kitties and kittens living in the house. I talked with his brother, the kitties have no food and he doesn’t have food for himself either.
We are going to get all the kitties safe this week and we will help him with food, clean the house and whatever else they need.
Viking fans are a great family and I’m hoping we can all do as much as we can. If any of you could help donate, I would really appreciate it.
There’s going to be a lot of costs for Vet care and everything else that goes along with these cases.
