Today, I shared with the OpenAI team that I have decided to leave my full-time role at OpenAI and transition to being a part-time advisor. Three months ago, I had to go on medical leave after a severe exacerbation of a chronic illness I’ve lived with for seven years. During that time, it became clear that the road to recovery would be much longer and more complex than I had anticipated—and that I needed to focus on it fully. When I went on leave, many people told me I was courageous for prioritizing my health. The truth is that I am only making this decision now because I failed to make it many times before. Over the years, doctors, friends, colleagues, and loved ones encouraged me to slow down. Two years after I got sick, Facebook offered me the opportunity to take a full year of medical leave. I didn’t even pause to consider it. I immediately said no. At the time, Zuck told me I should play the long game. I wish I had listened. Looking back, I realize that a lot of what made me successful also made this decision incredibly difficult. I grew up believing that opportunities were precious and that when they appeared, you grabbed them with both hands. That mindset carried me from a small town in southern France to opportunities I never could have imagined. By the time I turned 40, I had already gotten to do more than I’d ever dreamed possible as a kid growing up in Sète. I love building. My work has always given me a deep sense of purpose. OpenAI in particular felt like a role that my entire career had been building toward, which made this decision even harder. But what I’m learning now is that grit and endurance are not the only skills required to have impact over decades. Sometimes the harder thing is to stop, listen, and trust that taking care of yourself today makes it possible to contribute for much longer tomorrow. This experience has also strengthened my conviction about why this work matters. It has been a jarring experience to spend my days helping build the future while simultaneously navigating a disabling disease that still has no cure. Over the last seven years, I’ve spent countless hours in doctors’ offices, dealing with symptoms, treatments, insurance, uncertainty, and all the invisible work that comes with being a patient. Like millions of others living with chronic illness, I’ve experienced firsthand how difficult healthcare can be to navigate, even when you have every possible advantage. More than ever, I believe that some of the most important opportunities for AI lie in helping people solve real problems in their daily lives: their health, their finances, their time and the everyday burdens that shape human experience. In particular, curing disease is the most important thing AI could accomplish. I’m excited to continue working towards cures through OpenAI but also through my work with @ChronicleBioAI and @CODA_research. I’m deeply grateful to @sama, @gdb and the OpenAI board for their support during this time and for offering a way for me to continue contributing to the mission without sacrificing my chances of recovery. I’m also so thankful to my team and the many extraordinary colleagues I’ve had the privilege to build alongside. For now, my focus is recovery. But my belief in the potential of technology to solve deeply human problems has never been stronger.

Police arrested a man mauled by a mountain lion, after officers realized the animal may have followed him to the hospital for a reason.
In California, wildlife officials were called after a mountain lion reportedly chased an ambulance all the way to a hospital, then refused to leave the area.
At first, everyone thought the animal was acting aggressive for no reason.
But the mountain lion didn’t circle the whole building.
It stayed near one window.
The same window where a man was being treated after claiming the cat had attacked him out of nowhere.
When officers questioned him, his story didn’t sit right. There had been reports of gunshots near the area earlier that day, and when investigators searched nearby, they found a young mountain lion cub wounded from a bullet.
The cub was still alive.
That’s when they went back to the man’s vehicle and found what made everything connect.
Officials now believe the man had been illegally hunting, shot the cub, and was attacked by the mother before trying to escape.
He thought the hospital would be the end of it. But the mountain lion followed. The man was placed under watch while recovering and is expected to face charges once released.
He said the mountain lion attacked him for no reason.
Investigators say she was just following the man who hurt her baby.

We experienced an outage at Coinbase last night, which is never acceptable. The root cause was a room overheating in an AWS datacenter when multiple chillers failed. We design our services to be redundant to downtime in any one AWS Availability Zone (AZ), and most of our systems worked this way last night, but not all.
Our centralized exchange did not. Exchanges have unique architectures that optimize for latency and co-location of clients. It is possible to make exchanges resistant to AZ failures, but this can introduce latency delays that are not desirable along with breaking customer co-location. Given this incident, we'll revisit these tradeoffs to ensure we're giving you the best possible venue to trade. At a minimum, the duration of an outage should be able to be reduced considerably when an AZ move is needed.
Thank you to the AWS and Coinbase teams for working through the night to mitigate the issue. We’ll share the detailed technical summary once it's ready.

The Taiwanese military recorded:
- 26 Chinese aircraft
- 7 Chinese warships
They surrounded the island and are circling around it.
This is the LARGEST MILITARY PRESENCE of China near Taiwan ever.
The worst thing?
It happened while THE US is busy with Iran.
Once Trump announced the deployment of troops to the Middle East.
The term of one of Taiwan’s weapons packages, namely 82 HIMARS systems, expires on March 26.
South Korea quietly withdrew its THAAD missile defense system because of Iran.
If China takes any action, North Korea will begin threatening Japan and South Korea.
And now let’s just connect the dots:
China paused for 16 days near Taiwan.
Many thought they would soon reach an agreement and there would be peace.
BUT CHINA WAS ONLY WAITING FOR THE RIGHT MOMENT:
- America is fighting in the Middle East
- American missile stockpiles are depleted
- American marines are in the Persian Gulf
- The company TSMC, which produces 90% of all modern microchips in the world, is located on this very island
If China attacks TAIWAN:
- AI companies
- Phone manufacturing
- Automotive production
- Absolutely everyone will lose their microchip supplies
This could look and be called the "S&P500 FALLING BY 50%".
Even THE New York Times directly stated that this would be a massive blow to the US economy.
And now the main question is:
"What will America do, having 0 available military units and oil priced at $100 per barrel?"
THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS GEOPOLITICAL WINDOW IN THE LAST 20 YEARS
But don't worry, I have been in the market for over 10 years now.

It’s only a 32% drop to $77k $BTC. Had many of these previous cycles. And we’re coming off the back of a 650% bitcoin rally. IMO this would be a very very very healthy correction, we would wipe out over leveraged long, max fear would come in on the fear and greed index. And those who are correctly diversified and position will survive. - Wynn

Do you know what I notice from vast majority of crypto twitter ppl?
They blame everyone. They blame Jerome Powell, they blame pump fun, they blame manipulation, they blame Trump, they blame CZ, they blame leverage, they blame China, tarrifs etc.
These people are the worst kind. Take maximum responsibility for EVERYTHING even if it’s not your ‘fault’ or ‘unlucky’ or whatever.
