It will always beat my imagination when people say they don’t know or have a niche to do for YouTube… Worse, they keep asking “which niche?” On every other post of pple posting good results from their channel. There’s no single day I open YouTube to consume content that I don’t discover a new niche that I wish I had the time to milk from… I don’t even need any tool to discover new niches… I just consume content enough and I discover something hot. CONSUME CONTENT TODAY!! You’d never run out of niches to do I promise you. And you don’t have to even do something popular or niches that the gurus teach out there. Make it a habit to consume content.

I Wasted over $20k trying to go into HIGH BUDGET NICHE! Late 2024 I ventured into High Budget Niches. To create top quality videos. The likes of FERN, YARNHUB, etc. I did try. My reasons for trying is simple. I was making good money from low budget niches. But it was draining. I have to be churning out loads of contents. As the videos are not evergreen. I needed stability and most importantly, the fear that with so many people coming into low niches due to the barrier of entry is low, YouTube might start creating new and hard policies to sanitise the space. The fear stem from experience with Amazon KDP. I could go buy a course of say $3k+ to learn. But the courses I saw back then are still on the fast quick niches stuff. And yes, I will pick some things from the courses. No course is with zero value. But then, I needed to go up. And my channels are doing better in that space. I took the longer route which I always take. Indepth research! I picked niches. Not just one, but 3 niches. My thought was that I have saved enough to invest. But that was a big mistake. I got a writer who claimed to have worked with the best in the industry. The fee was high. Same for thumbnails. There was AI. But I said, I wanted QUALITY 😩. The result after spending over $2k, was that even the boys I trained in 2 weeks will do a better job. A WASTED MONEY. But it gave me CONFIDENCE in my skill. I will take that to hold my pain. Then the 3D animation part 😩.. after spending over $4k for one long form video. NO AI! From 3 niches, I had to cut down to 2 niches. And finally to 1 and then zero. I sat down to analyse what happend. I researched on the system of video creation without factoring the business part. Can I create 10 videos of such quality? I never calculated that because there was no one to tell me what it will cost. I was learning prices on the go. So, there was no figure to multiply and get an average of what I can spend. I tried so many things, and it failed. I watched a podcast where one of the top guys in the industry mentioned channels they invested $90k and had to abandon the channels. With that experience, I went fully back as a prodigal son to the low niches. But I never abandoned the goal. I started creating system that I can use to enter the medium and high budget niches without having to spend $20k. AI improved. I tried medium niches and some high budget niches. By this time, I have built a team of over 20 skilled persons (now we are way more than that). I started seeing results. But not to the level the low budget was pulling in. Fast forward, the inauthentic content hit hard. I lost so much from those channels. I was pained. Though I tried to BE A MAN😎. I did not go down completely because of the other channels in the medium and high niches. With nothing left in the low niches, I PUT IN EVERYTHING to improve on the system. Man, I should have done that earlier. Right now, I see many who wants to go into the medium and high niches. But the MOAT to go in ain't easy. This might not be a popular belief… But it’s not all niches that the views/AVD tanks if you mix longform with shorts. I’ve tested this, and there are niches that it’s an added advantage if you post both shorts and long form content.

One of my biggest achievements doing YouTube so far is being part of the team that’s managing this channel and getting it to this stage… Next month will make it 2yrs I got the job to join this team… I met this channel at 8k subscribers and now, we’re here… we can do 250k subs before the year runs out🤞🏽🤞🏽

I don’t know if I’m extra but there is one thing I always do. Whenever I’m done scripting, generating audio, my media sources and then comes to editing, I restart my Pc before opening my video editor. It’s glued to me and I don’t miss it 😂

@dfw__tee True… At the end of the day, all of us are just learning and relearning with this YouTube thing… So, unless you work at YouTube as an employee, it’s just your personal opinion. If it works for you, just keep doing your thing.
