As part of his familiarisation with the Ministry, Minister Pierre Laporte has spent the past two days visiting various divisions and meeting with staff. In the coming days, Minister Laporte will continue with his familiarisation visits.

The FIU reminds all partnerships of their obligations under the Beneficial Ownership (BO) Act, 2020, and invites them to attend upcoming sensitisation sessions to register and populate their beneficial ownership information onto the BO Database.

The Trade Division, in collaboration with UNECA is undertaking a project for the development of Seychelles’ first Step-by-Step Guide for Trade in Goods under the AfCFTA Agreement. Discussions were held with SMEs such as Belliche Seychelles, and Blue Fire Lady, as shown below.

Welcoming our new Minister, Mr. Pierre Laporte who took office on Friday 07th November, following his swearing in the day before. Minister Laporte is no stranger to us as he was at the helm of the ministry between 2012 and 2015.

The Ministry handed over funds raised from selling of pink crunchies to staff to the Chairperson of Cancer Concern Association, Ms. Dinaz Van der Lans as part of activities to mark World Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
