Coaches of Canada’s teams that lose in the quarter finals usually don’t get an invite back. His World Jr coaching line reads 3 World Jr tournaments as Head Coach - 1 Gold (Canada’s only Gold in the past 5 years), 1 Silver & 1 quarter final defeat. Not too shabby.

If we had won, we wouldn’t be having this debate. Cameron won gold at the 2022 World Jr’s but this year he lost and he has to wear it. To what degree is also debatable but certainly he’s responsible

Blame can go all around, but Cameron (as coach) needs to bear the majority of the blame. He wasn’t very good. I think I could have coached the 2022 to gold.

Behind closed doors, you better believe the coach gets plenty of input and say in who’s invited to camp, who gets cut etc. Even coaches in youth hockey get say.
