Positive signs…

The recent BofA Global Fund Manager Survey optimism on global growth is at an all-time low. Worse than the tech bubble, worse than the Financial Crisis, and worse than a 100 year pandemic. Things aren't great, but a lot of bad news is priced in here.

The S&P 500 has finished higher in June the past 6 years and 8 of the past 10 years. Yes, this month usually isn't strong and it is quite weak in a midterm year, but worth knowing.

S&P 500 down 3.99% today at the lows. Since 1950, there have been 88 other days to be down this much at one point during the day. Today was only the 3rd time stocks closed higher when the dust settled. (Both of the others were Oct '08).

The S&P 500 is up 27.5% in 2021, making it one of the best years ever for stocks.

Today was the best start to the Santa Claus Rally in 21 years. S&P 500 up 1.4% today bodes well, as these 7 days have never been lower when day 1 was up at least 1%. Up 6 out of 6 with a 3.6% avg return.
