I started Finite by Design in 2013. My father was a coin collector. I became a Bitcoin collector. The overlap seemed inevitable. For over a decade I have been making physical Bitcoin artifacts; silver coins, laser engraved pieces, cold storage vaults built to last generations. Limited runs. Individually numbered. Always finite. Recently several pieces were independently submitted to NGC and listed at Heritage Auctions. Some returned TOP NGC GRADED designations. Those submissions came from collectors, not from me. I wish my father were still alive to see it. The Bitcoin collectibles space is small. Our goal is to grow it. Bitcoin Pizza Day is always bittersweet for me. We won the economic battle in ways few imagined possible in 2010. But that victory came with the mainstreaming that inevitably diluted the original cypherpunk fire. (In my opinion of course) The purity tests, corporate compliance, and self-help platitudes can feel suffocating. At least to me they do. Still, the protocol remains. The math is still defiant. The spark didn’t disappear, it just went underground again, waiting for the next cycle of builders who actually want to push the frontier. Happy Pizza Day anyway. Tomorrow is a brand new day. And the time chain keeps chugging along.
