.@FireballsSky show us how they track orbiting objects at @CurtinUni #ITZ2018

Professor Phil Bland, Director of the Desert Fireball Network, will be speaking at The Zone Above: The Indo-Pacific Era in Space conference on 8 October at @OptusStadium! @FireballsSky @CurtinUni With less than two weeks to go, you can join us: perthusasia.edu.au/itz-2018

Fascinating... a business model about tracking satellites (and #spacedebris) as a mechanism to protect satellite assets #FireOPAL is an initiative of #LockheedMartin and #CurtinUniversity. Good to see strong partnership! #ASRC18

Exploring Mars. Australian researchers @CurtinUni doing some really cool things with the NASA #MarsInsight Mission. This is how we inspire future generations and improve #STEM outcomes. Some of the great initiatives seen at #ASRC18

Citizen Science. The WA public playing a key role in helping @FireballsSky locate a potential meteorite after a fireball was seen late last week over WA. @GilloArvos bit.ly/ABCRadioPerth

2 #infrasound stations of the #CTBTO international monitoring system detect the 28th August 2018 fireball of a reported #meteor close to #Perth, #Australia. @ctbto_alerts is analysing this atmospheric event.

Inaudible #infrasound waves caused by the #Perth #meteor were recorded by stations in the #CTBTO international monitoring system. We were able to estimate the approx. sound source location near York, explaining reports of shaking to @EarthquakesGA. #80DaysEarth #perthnews

The search is continuing for the remnants of a massive fireball that lit up the Perth sky. "We're getting closer...we've been able to narrow it down...it probably started burning at 80km above earth" - @lycrageek - International Science Communicator. #7News twitter.com/7NewsSydney/st…
