@Dynapunto@validships I guess? It doesn't have to be black and white. Im not saying the creators are misogynistic. Im just saying that being sus about this is valid.
@FiredF0x25@GangaTheUnlimit@validships It is male gazey and that’s not a problem except for loser weirdos online who think anything guys are attracted to is inherently evil
@FiredF0x25@validships putting women in bikinis still isnt misogyny, if you can find some other proof the show is "inherently misogynistic" besides... boobs you can tell me
@FiredF0x25@validships Uh can we also cancel Nintendo for making us able to put Mario in a dress and also in swimsuit? We don't know if he's comfortable like that around people.
@lCompIain@Miistake4@validships No of course, and youre right. Im just defending the opinion of people because you cant know the intention of the creators. If this was created in such a way to draw in the male gaze etc etc buzzwords, then its obviously a bad thing.
@FiredF0x25@Miistake4@validships I was moreso saying that most anime beach episodes are filler and don't have reasons to actually happen other than fan service. This is the first episode and is obviously plot relevant, and just happens to take place underwater.
@ShampoingXD@chaosma39444442@validships I mean thats fine if i am. I can just understand the criticism because we cant know the intention of the creators. I feel like if it wasnt indie it would get completely flamed for this.
@FiredF0x25@Miistake4@validships The difference being beach episodes in anime don't have story 99% of the time and are literally there for fan service. This has a story and reason for them to be in the swimsuits
@GangaTheUnlimit@validships I'm not mad, but can't you agree that it can be easily misconstrued as male-gazey or objectifying? Especially for the first episode.
