Over the past couple of days, students took their ‘how to,’ writings and turned them into real life lessons. Students had the chance to teach us about something they were passionate about. We have so many talents to share in Grade 3/4! @FiresideRVS

The Grade 3/4’s had a blast creating forts for ‘Favourite Fort Friday.’ We also enjoyed playing games and watching a movie from our forts in our Pyjamas @FiresideRVS

The Grade 3 & 4’s had lots of fun building math games that included math concepts from this year. They then got to share them with @cgrainger_’s Gr.3 class. They had lots of fun testing out each others work.@FiresideRVS

The Grade 3&4’s looked at some pointillism art by Indigenous artists to understand the technique behind this form of painting. We talked about why this kind of art is not only beautiful but important to Indigenous people. Then they created their own! @FiresideRVS

☀️🍋 Summer is as sweet as…Today we laughed & learned about similes, reading My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks. We came up with our own similes to describe how sweet, fun and exciting this summer will be @FiresideRVS #rvslit

🐯Beautiful day for our final field trip of the year, @calgaryzoo! Grade 1 had so much fun exploring the different areas and animals

@FiresideRVS We had so much fun today making paper boats, drawing campsites, making 3D pictures, reading with flashlights and singing songs! Thanks to a great Grade 2 team @FiresideRVS for organizing and making our afternoon a lot of fun!

To celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day, we connected with nature and learned about the needs of plants and animals by studying the living things over and under the Bullrush pond. @FiresideRVS

Today is the day to test our math games before @cgrainger_ class comes to play. @FiresideRVS

🎉 We’ve been reflecting on all our favourite things from this year and repeating the best stuff! Today, we 👀 at optical illusions/drew a penrose 🔺, we’re exploring colour/plants/transpiration using white flowers + food dye🌸, and we made math puzzles!🧩 #rvsed @FiresideRVS
