@FerverasVT Don't play the game, but didn't they add massive penalties to leaving people on the ground last year? Why would they then allow multiple meta builds that are best countered by exactly what they just nerfed?

It is absolutely wild, but unsurprising, that a full team would bring flashlights, just to swap to toolboxes last second to trick the killer into bringing Lightborn, essentially giving Killer only 3 perks against a build that punishes them for playing as intended. Killer clearly intended to provide jump scares, and only swapped to slug once it was apparent they were bringing one of two builds: Anti hook build, the counter to that is slugging. Fast track self unhook, and the counter to that may surprise you, it's slugging. The only survivor here that had fun and was respectful was the P100 Pig player, who likely gets it because they play a killer who gains value from slugging.
