Next up is the Newcastle Half Marathon on 12 July, where the team hopes to field a combined 1 RRF and 5 RRF entry. Strong performances, strong turnout, and plenty more miles ahead. 3/3

Fusiliers on the Run 🏃‍♂️🏅 This week, the Bn Running Team competed at the Armed Forces Inter-Service & Corps 10km Championships in Nottingham. Runners also represented their respective Corps, with Sgt Sophie Smith securing Gold with the RAMS Female Senior Team. 1/3

The First Fusiliers Det emerged as the overall winners among all participating detachments — continuing strong form following the previous competition hosted by QRH on 20 May, where the Det placed 1st across all events in the BAWF competition. 2/2

Fusiliers take the win 🏆 The Iron Fist Challenge within 20X proved to be an outstanding event, strengthening teamwork, morale, and camaraderie across the wider AGC family through a series of demanding competitions. 1/2

The cadre covered core recce fundamentals including fieldcraft, navigation, AFV recognition, CTRs, OPs, counter-UAS SOPs, contact drills, and a summative FTX — building the foundation required to operate forward, unseen, and informed. 2/3

Building the Next Generation of Recce Soldiers 🧭⚔️ The 1 RRF Recce Cadre has concluded at Longmoor Training Area, qualifying 13 soldiers as light reconnaissance patrolman. 1/3

Fusiliers on the Trails 🚵‍♂️🏅 A strong day for the Bn Mountain Bike Team at the Army Cycle Enduro Series. 🏆 CPL Mason secured 2nd place in the Hardtail category, while 🥇 CPL Currie took 1st place in the Women’s category. Outstanding results for the Regiment!

1 RRF Cross Country 🏃‍♀️ The Bn X Country Team competed at the Army Inter-Unit 10km Championships at Thruxton Race Circuit, Andover. The Women’s Team secured Silver in a highly competitive field — made up of a mix of cap badges across the Bn 1/2

Growing UAS capability Y Company ran a SUAS course in Tidworth, qualifying the majority of the Company. A solid week focused on using UAS to support the Company and build understanding of counter-UAS. Simple systems, real impact.

Sgt Sophie Smith (RAMS), currently attached to 1 RRF as a Nurse, ran the 10km race, finishing 2nd fastest female overall and securing Silver with the RAMS team. Next up: Army Half Marathon Champs in Fleet on 29 March! 3/3

CSgt Urwin competed in the 20km race, securing Gold with the Veteran Team and Gold with the Senior Team after a recount confirmed the Infantry victory. Sgt Beck ran the 10km race, earning Silver with the Infantry Senior Team. 2/3
