Sgt Sophie Smith (RAMS), currently attached to 1 RRF as a Nurse, ran the 10km race, finishing 2nd fastest female overall and securing Silver with the RAMS team. Next up: Army Half Marathon Champs in Fleet on 29 March! 3/3

CSgt Urwin competed in the 20km race, securing Gold with the Veteran Team and Gold with the Senior Team after a recount confirmed the Infantry victory. Sgt Beck ran the 10km race, earning Silver with the Infantry Senior Team. 2/3

Fusiliers delivering on the trails 🏃‍♂️ Following recent success at the Army Inter Corps Cross Country Championships, members of the Battalion continued the momentum at the Army Trail Championships in Winchester. 1/3

Sgt Oakes and CSgt Urwin were selected to represent the Infantry X-Country Team at the Army Champs held at Gibraltar Barracks, Camberley. Sgt Sophie Smith (RAMS), currently attached to 1 RRF as a Nurse, competed with the RAMS women’s team, who secured 1st place overall. 2/3

Partners in Action 🇬🇧🇰🇼 The culmination of Exercise Desert Warrior saw X Company and the Kuwait Army conduct a combined final attack during the DV Day demonstration, with 6 Platoon assaulting the objective alongside Kuwaiti forces. 1/2

Building Partnership Through Training 🇬🇧🇰🇼 Throughout Exercise Desert Warrior, X Company trained alongside the Kuwait Army across a range of activities, including section-level training, physical development, professional exchanges, and competitive sport. 1/2

Boxer live, Rounds downrange⚙️🔥 This week, the team took Boxer onto the ranges, conducting live fire serials and firing the Remote Weapon System to build confidence, accuracy, and crew drills on the platform. Training the fundamentals now, ready to deliver when it counts.

Within 1 RRF, Boxer will support command and control, medical evacuation, logistics, and other specialist roles — improving protection, mobility, and flexibility across the Battalion.

Boxers learning Boxer🥊⚙️ First Fusiliers (a boxing battalion 🥊) are currently on Boxer courses, building skills to drive, command, and operate the Remote Weapon System (RWS) as we develop expertise on the Army’s protected mobility platform. 1/2

Next stop: the Army Cross-Country Skiing Championships in Ruhpolding, Germany, where he will compete as an individual. A strong performance and excellent representation of both regiments and the wider Army. 💪

Next stop Army X Country Champs Germany 🇬🇧🎿🇩🇪 Fus Bellingham competed with a joint Army team made up of the First Fusiliers and the Irish Guards at the Infantry X Country Skiing Championships in Sweden, helping secure 3rd overall, and at the Div Championships in France. 1/2

Training began with detailed lessons on the Desert Warrior, M1A2 Abrams, and other armoured platforms, building familiarity with allied capabilities and operating methods. A strong start to an important exercise and partnership. 2/2

X Company in Kuwait 🇰🇼⚔️ X Coy has deployed to Kuwait for Ex Desert Warrior, receiving a warm welcome and meeting key figures from the Kuwait Land Forces (KLF) on arrival. The ex was officially opened by the Comd of the KLF. 1/2

Hosted in Grafenwöhr, Germany, by 7th Army Training Command (US Army), the event showcased some of the finest sniper talent across the alliance. A standout performance and strong representation of the Regiment. #Fusiliers #BritishArmy #nato 3/3

With 35+ NATO teams on the line, the event demanded skill, endurance, and absolute precision. Competing as the British Army Combat Shooting Team’s sniper pair, this marked the first hybrid Fusilier–Rifles team to take on the competition. 2/3
