i think my problem with getting back into books as an adult is that i thought i knew the tropes i liked from fanfiction but apparently those doesn’t translate exactly to romance novels

my preferences for fiction often run dark but i genuinely cannot handle 'no one showed up to their birthday' 'no one showed up to their event they worked really hard on' etc. Just give me the cannibalism I can't do this shit man

@WholesomeMeme Grease, mainly. And also that fast food isnt using good ingredients. Making a burger at home from fresh good quality ingredients and minimal grease is pretty healthy

Tbh I look at posts about 90s/2000s fashion and I feel nothing about them fashion wise because I just go “that’s just normal clothes though” lol like my brain just will eternally see that look as “default”

I have this theory that most peoples sense of style kinda just get cemented in their 20s and they just don’t evolve much past that. Whatever it was you were doing in your 20s for clothes, it SETS. Same thing for music taste usually.

Ladies with better fashion sense than I please weigh in: I’ve coveted the Juliette dress from Wild Rose and Sparrow forever, finally felt I could justify $300 if it was for my wedding rehearsal/dinner, and only found out yesterday the dinner is semi-formal when I was expecting it to be more casual like the others I’ve been to. How can I zhuzh this up to not look out of place? It’s too late to find another dress and I’m kind of married to it anyway, it fits perfectly and the embroidery is so gorgeous
