What lies beneath… a section of cement render carefully removed from a C17th timber frame in North Shropshire earlier this month. This action was taken to enable further investigation and testing, with the results to be used to evidentially inform all future repairs.

@Lisarrrrrrrrr @osmo_uk Masking off the entire board and sanding it back with progressively finer grits sounds like a thorough plan. It should help remove any residue and provide a smooth surface for reapplication of the @osmo_uk oil. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for best results

@FishJoinery @osmo_uk So I spilled something on my engineered oak flooring, tried using Danish oil to correct it but made it worse. Any ideas what would fix it please?
